How do I know which class is right for my child?
Age recommendations for each Kindermusik® class are made to ensure that children are grouped in a developmentally appropriate way. Your child needs to be at least the minimum age for the chosen class by the start of a semester. If you are concerned at all, this can be discussed with the teacher to see if your child would be better suited to a different age group.
Can I join a class mid-term?
Yes, you can, subject to space being available in a class. Fees are calculated on a pro-rata basis in addition to the At Home Materials.
Can I attend a class to see if I like it?
It is best to attend a class at the end of a term, prior to the term you wish to enrol for. This way you can make a decision without missing out on a place.
How will I know if my enrolment was successful?
You will receive confirmation of your enrolment, via email, at least two weeks prior to the commencement of the class. Enrolments received after commencement of the class (term) will be confirmed via email.
Do we need to purchase the At Home Materials?
Yes, the At Home Materials come as a part of the Kindermusik experience.
The classes you attend each week are only the first step in your child’s musical learning experience. Specially developed, high quality home materials are provided to you as an integral part of the program and should be used regularly to consolidate and extend on class activities. This also gives other members of your family the chance to share the Kindermusik experience.
You may notice that your child seems completely different when experiencing Kindermusik activities at home. This is due to the social nature of your class, where your child interacts with others. Children who frequently reinforce and enjoy activities in their home environment will feel more secure and comfortable in class and will participate more.
What happens if I miss a class?
Refunds are not given for missed classes. Classes can be made up if there is room at a different class time, however, this must be arranged before the end of the term/semester. If you feel you have extenuating circumstances preventing you from coming to class, please discuss this with Dani.
